How secure will my income be?

Most contracts last for at least 3 months with many being more than 12 months long. If you are going freelance for the first time, make a list of contacts that you can use to enquire about freelance work. You can also make a list of recruitment agencies that specialise in your industry - over 75% of contractors find their contracts through recruitment agencies.

The 123 Income Illustrator shows you what you can expect to take home from a given contract.

It also compares the differences between freelance contracting through your own Limited Company, through an Umbrella Company, as a Sole Trader or if you were to return to full time employment.
