So you've been freelance contracting for a couple of months now, dipping your toe in the water using an Umbrella Company and have realised that you really enjoy freelancing and want to move forwards with it. The answer is to switch from the Umbrella Company to your own Limited Company.
This is incredibly easy to do.
At present you will simply be an employee of the Umbrella Company so you need to give them notice that you are leaving. Most work on a weeks notice basis.
While you are working this notice period we will set-up your Limited Company with Companies House and HMRC for free and it will all be open and ready to use as soon as you have finished with the Umbrella Company.
With your clients you simply tell them you will be invoicing them from your own Limited Company business going forwards as one of their suppliers. They may ask to see copies of your Incorporation documents which you will have received by email from us and can simply forward to them.
We take care of your accountancy and taxation and you focus on your freelance contracting.
Switching from an Umbrella Company to your own Limited Company really is as easy as that.
